WORKERS in Hampshire could be among those at risk as Insurance giant Aviva announced plans to cut around 2,000 jobs.

Employees have been told that the reduction, which equates to six per cent of the company's workforce, will take place during the next six months as part of cost cutting measures.

Aviva, which has a base in Chandler's Ford. said the 2,000 roles were being lost across the company, which has employees in the UK, Europe and Asia, and it has not yet decided how many jobs will be lost in this country.
