Military Insurance Benefits

Medical

Military medical insurance benefits are administered by Tricare. These benefits are free for active duty military members and their dependents. National Guard and Reserve members may obtain these benefits for themselves and their dependents for a very low monthly cost.

Vision

Military vision insurance benefits are part of Tricare. Active duty, Guard and Reserve military members are entitled to free vision exams and glasses. All dependents are entitled to one free eye exam per year, and must pay for their glasses or contacts out of their own pocket.

Life Insurance

All military members may avail themselves of life insurance coverage under the Servicemembers Group Life Insurance (SGLI) plan for a small monthly fee.
