The criteria for listing an insurer, managing underwriter, managing general agent or excess and surplus lines broker in the 2013 edition of The Insurance Marketplace® are:

Insurors - licensed in one or more states with net premiums (2011) of $2 million (U.S.) or more.

Managing Underwriters - represent one or more companies for specific classes or for all property and casualty classes and operate in all states in which the company operates.
